Spend the week workshopping the your novel in progress and talking about novel-related questions: how to embark upon a bigger project; how much to plan in outline and how much to leave open; how to ‘find’ the story; how to choose point of view; how to sustain yourself through the narrative long haul, how to “thicken” plot.
Participants should prepare and bring to workshop 15 pages of a novel in progress.

This week-long intensive will focus on moving your novel beyond its beginning “draft” stages. Each day the small group will have an opportunity to discuss elements pertinent to writing a compelling novel, and applying these to your novel in progress. The group meets for 3 hours per day from 10-1. There may be additional sessions in the late afternoon as well as an opportunity to consult with Bret.
There will also be time built in for exploring the island of Martha’s Vineyard, its beaches, restaurants and cultural attractions.
